First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding fermented foods to the diet can reduce inflammation and improve quality of life in people with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis. About 21 adults with confirmed UC and active symptoms will eat fermented foods and be monitored for changes in a stool marker of inflammation. The goal is to see if diet can help manage the disease, not cure it.
