Family power: new program aims to stop hospital confusion in elders

Summary
This study tests if involving family members in a proven hospital care program is better at preventing delirium (sudden, severe confusion) in older patients. It will compare the standard Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) with a new version that trains and includes family caregivers (FAM-HELP). The goal is to see which approach more effectively reduces how often and how severely delirium occurs during a hospital stay.
