Summary
This early study tests a new device made of shape memory polymer that is placed in the false lumen of an aortic dissection. The goal is to block blood flow there and prevent the aorta from growing. About 15 adults with type A or B aortic dissection will be enrolled to see if the implant is safe and works as intended.
