First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early study tests a new device made of shape memory polymer that is placed into the false lumen (an abnormal channel) of an aortic dissection. The goal is to block blood flow there and prevent the aorta from growing larger, which can be life-threatening. About 15 adults with type A or B aortic dissection will be enrolled to check if the implant is safe and can be delivered correctly.
