Summary

This study compares two types of exercise training—high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate-intensity continuous exercise—against usual care in 132 adults with persistent or permanent atrial fibrillation. The goal is to see which approach best improves exercise capacity and quality of life. Participants must be 40 or older, have a controlled heart rate, and not already exercising more than twice a week.
