Phone app fights brain decline: daily steps could delay Parkinson's
NCT ID NCT07324330
Summary
This study is testing if becoming more physically active can help preserve memory and thinking skills in people with a specific sleep disorder that puts them at very high risk for developing Parkinson's disease or a related dementia. Researchers will use a motivational smartphone app to help 130 participants increase their daily activity over one year. They will measure changes in cognitive tests, brain scans, and blood markers to see if more exercise can slow early brain changes.
