First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study compares two different exercise programs for people who have recently had a heart transplant. One program is done at home with remote support, and the other is standard in-hospital rehab. The goal is to see which approach is safer and more effective at improving fitness and reducing complications like rejection or hospitalization. About 40 participants will be enrolled.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a home-based exercise program is a safe and effective way to improve recovery and reduce complications after a heart transplant.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to all heart transplant patients. The exercise programs may not lead to significant improvements in health outcomes.
