First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tracks how well a nerve block procedure called celiac plexus neurolysis (CPN) helps manage pain in people with chronic pancreatitis. Researchers will follow 35 patients for 24 weeks, recording their pain scores and pain medication use. The goal is to see if the procedure reduces pain and the need for painkillers over time.

What could go wrong

This is a small, observational study (35 people) that only tracks outcomes, not a controlled trial. The procedure may not work for everyone, and there are risks like bleeding or nerve damage.
