Surgery drug may lift mood in breast cancer patients with depression

Summary
This study looks at whether giving esketamine continuously during breast cancer surgery can reduce feelings of anxiety and depression in patients who already have mild-to-severe depression. About 142 women will take part, and their mood and sleep quality will be tracked after surgery. The goal is to see if this approach can ease emotional distress during the surgery period.
