First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a non-surgical stomach-shrinking procedure called Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), combined with diet and exercise, can improve sleep apnea in people with obesity. About 74 adults with moderate-to-severe sleep apnea will be randomly assigned to get ESG plus lifestyle changes or lifestyle changes alone. The main goal is to see if the ESG group has a bigger drop in sleep apnea severity after one year.
