Can education on social barriers boost epilepsy surgery access?

NCT ID NCT07509190

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study has two parts. First, researchers survey patients and doctors to find out what stops people with epilepsy from getting surgery. Then, they test a video-based education program called PEERS that teaches patients how social factors like income and housing can affect their care. About 310 adults with epilepsy will take part. The goal is to see if the program is acceptable and helps patients feel more trust in their doctors.
