First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested a new mix of pain medicines (dexmedetomidine, esketamine, and ropivacaine) against the standard mix (sufentanil and ropivacaine) for epidural pain relief during childbirth. 300 pregnant women took part to see if the new combination works as well and is safer for both mother and baby. The goal is to find a better option for managing labor pain.
