Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a diabetes drug, can help people with HIV who are overweight or obese lose weight and improve their metabolism. About 66 adults with HIV on a specific antiretroviral therapy will receive either the drug or a placebo for 6 months. The main goal is to see if the drug leads to significant weight loss.
