Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a medicine used for diabetes, can help reduce depression in people with bipolar disorder who also have insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is common in bipolar disorder and may make mood symptoms worse. The study will include 20 adults and last 12 weeks, measuring changes in depression scores and insulin resistance.
