Healing the mind after a heart attack: EMDR trial offers new hope

Summary

This study tests whether a therapy called EMDR can reduce PTSD symptoms in 60 adults who developed PTSD after a heart attack. Participants will receive EMDR sessions, and researchers will measure PTSD levels and stress responses at 3 and 6 months. If effective, EMDR could become a standard treatment for heart-related PTSD.
