Yale scientists probe why heart failure drugs fail

NCT ID NCT05323487

First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026

Summary

This study looks at why some people with heart failure don't respond well to diuretics (water pills). Researchers will give different doses of a diuretic to 75 heart failure patients and measure how their kidneys handle salt and water. The goal is to understand the mechanisms behind diuretic resistance, not to test a new treatment.
