One size Doesn't fit all: new trial tailors blood thinners after joint surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether giving different amounts of blood thinners based on a person's risk can prevent dangerous blood clots and reduce bleeding after hip or knee replacement. About 10,000 adults having elective hip or knee replacement will be assigned to either standard treatment or a personalized plan (shorter for low-risk, stronger and longer for high-risk). The goal is to see if this tailored approach works better than the current one-size-fits-all method.
