First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a smartphone app that helps improve sleep, along with a wrist-worn activity tracker, can protect brain health in older adults after major joint surgery. About 50 people aged 65 and older with mild insomnia will use the app before and after their operation. The goal is to see if better sleep can reduce problems like confusion or slow thinking after surgery.
