New app aims to ease pain and anxiety for young cancer survivors

Summary

This study is testing a digital health program called AYA STEPS that helps young adult cancer survivors manage symptoms like pain, fatigue, and emotional distress. The program teaches skills to improve communication with healthcare providers and engagement with recommended follow-up care. Researchers will compare the digital program to standard educational materials in 260 survivors across North Carolina.
