First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study will test whether a 3D intraoral scanner can accurately measure dental plaque compared to the traditional method of visual inspection and staining. Twenty adults with at least 20 natural teeth and visible plaque will be scanned before and after plaque disclosure and after brushing. The goal is to validate a digital approach that could make plaque assessment more consistent and objective.
