First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a remote program that combines digital tools with a 12-week very low-calorie diet (800 calories per day) to help adults with type 2 diabetes lose weight and possibly achieve remission. 100 participants were randomly assigned to either the program or standard care. The main goals were to see if more people lost at least 15 kg and reached normal blood sugar levels without diabetes medication.
