NCT ID NCT06979310
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares three ways to teach caregivers about childhood cancer: text messages, tablet modules in the clinic, or standard doctor-led education. Researchers want to see which method helps caregivers learn best and reduces the chance that a family stops treatment early. About 400 caregivers of children with cancer in Swahili-speaking areas will take part.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could show a simple, low-cost way to help caregivers feel more confident and reduce the chance that a child's cancer treatment is abandoned.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study comparing different education methods, not testing a new drug or cure. The results may not apply to all settings or languages.
