Hope for teens on dialysis: new drug targets debilitating itch

Summary
This study tests a medicine called difelikefalin to see if it safely reduces severe itching in teenagers (ages 12-17) who are on hemodialysis for chronic kidney disease. About 18 teens will receive the drug three times a week for up to 12 weeks during their regular dialysis visits. The main goal is to check for side effects and measure how much drug gets into their blood.
