First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested three different eating plans in 135 adults with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) to see which best reduces stomach pain, bloating, and other symptoms. Participants followed either a low-FODMAP diet, a Tritordeum-based diet (a special type of wheat), or general dietary advice for 12 weeks. The goal was to find a practical, effective diet that improves daily life for people with IBS-D.
