First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study surveyed 219 family caregivers of people with dementia to learn how swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) impact their daily lives and sense of burden. Caregivers completed a one-time online questionnaire about their loved one's swallowing issues, their own stress, and how prepared they felt. The goal is to better understand caregiver needs and improve support for those managing dementia-related swallowing problems.
