First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether practicing deep squat or cross-legged sitting for 20 minutes daily can help adults with long-term low back pain. 36 participants were split into three groups: deep squat, cross-legged sitting, or no special position. After 6 weeks, researchers measured changes in pain, joint flexibility, and bowel function. The goal was to see if these simple positions could offer a drug-free way to ease symptoms and improve quality of life.
