Summary
This study tested two different spots in the brain for deep brain stimulation (DBS) to see which one better controls tremors in people with Parkinson's disease. 27 participants received stimulation in both the posterior subthalamic area (PSA) and the subthalamic nucleus (STN) in a random order, without knowing which was active. The goal was to measure tremor improvement off medication.
