New hope for aggressive brain tumors? early trial combines two targeted drugs

Summary

This early-phase study tests a combination of two drugs—D2C7-IT and atezolizumab—in adults with a recurrent, aggressive type of brain cancer called grade IV malignant glioma. The main goal is to see if the combination is safe and what side effects it may cause. About 18 participants will receive the treatment at a specialized brain tumor center.
