Summary

This study tests a highly absorbable form of curcumin (from turmeric) in 72 people with mid-to-low rectal cancer who are getting chemoradiotherapy before surgery. The goal is to see if curcumin can reduce severe gut side effects like diarrhea and rectal pain. Researchers will also check if it helps the cancer respond better to treatment.
