Freezing heart plaque: a new hope for artery health?
NCT ID NCT06939374
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new device that freezes dangerous plaque in heart arteries to see if it can reduce blockages and prevent future heart problems. About 30 people with stable angina or recent heart events will receive the freezing treatment during a planned procedure. Researchers will use special imaging to check if the plaque shrinks over 9 months and if the treatment is safe.
