Summary
This study tested whether eating house cricket powder before a meal could lower blood sugar spikes in people with type 2 diabetes. Twenty adults on metformin took cricket powder, whey protein, or a placebo mixed into soup, then had their blood sugar and insulin measured for two hours. The goal was to see if cricket powder could help manage blood sugar better than a placebo and as well as whey protein.
