Summary

This study tested a new program for veterans who have both PTSD and a smoking habit. It combined a proven PTSD therapy (Cognitive Processing Therapy) with extra support to quit smoking, including counseling, medication, and rewards for staying smoke-free. The goal was to see if this combined approach helps veterans quit smoking for good and better manage their PTSD.
