Steroid after kidney stone surgery may cut painkiller use

Summary

This study tests whether taking the steroid prednisone after ureteroscopy (a surgery for kidney stones) can help reduce pain and the need for other pain medications. Researchers will enroll 90 adults who are having this surgery with a stent placed. The goal is to see if adding a short course of steroids improves recovery and comfort.
