Does High-Tech navigation improve knee replacement outcomes?
NCT ID NCT00782444
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compared two methods of knee replacement surgery: one using computer navigation and the other using the conventional technique. Researchers wanted to see if the computer-guided approach leads to better long-term results, such as how long the new knee lasts and how well it functions. The study involved 192 adults aged 50-85 with knee arthritis, and used special X-ray techniques and patient surveys to measure outcomes.
