Massive study to settle debate: which hip stem length saves more lives?
NCT ID NCT06367829
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at over 110,000 people who had hip replacement surgery to compare two different stem lengths of the same hip implant. The goal is to see if the longer stem leads to fewer deaths or implant failures than the shorter one. Researchers are using existing data from national registries, so no new treatments are being tested.
