Doctors test routine colon check after heart stops

NCT ID NCT07359313

Summary

This study aims to find out how often patients develop colon damage after their heart stops and they receive CPR. Researchers will perform a routine colonoscopy 24-36 hours after successful CPR on 200 adult patients to look for signs of injury. The goal is to see if this check-up is a safe and useful way to spot serious problems early, which could help guide treatment.
