Hidden gut risk after CPR: new study investigates colon damage

Summary

This study looks at how often colon damage (ischemia) happens in people who survive cardiac arrest and receive CPR. Researchers will perform a bedside colonoscopy 24-36 hours after CPR to check for colon injury. The goal is to better understand this complication and improve care for future patients.
