First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether colchicine, an anti-inflammatory drug already used for gout, can reduce inflammation in people with a specific type of heart failure called HFpEF. 42 adults with HFpEF and signs of inflammation took colchicine to see if it lowered certain markers in their blood. The goal was to learn if targeting inflammation could help manage this condition.
