NCT ID NCT07448662
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This observational study looks back at 700 patients from 15 hospitals in 2 countries to compare local treatments like surgery and radiation for brain metastases that spread from colorectal cancer. Researchers will track how long patients live and how long it takes for brain tumors to progress after treatment. The goal is to understand which strategies work best in real-world practice.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors choose the best local treatment (surgery or radiation) for brain metastases from colorectal cancer, potentially improving survival and quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a retrospective observational study, not a controlled trial, so results may be influenced by patient selection and differences in care. It cannot prove one treatment is better than another.
