NCT ID NCT05908760

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a simple device that lets people rebreathe some of their own exhaled CO2 to raise blood pressure. It is for adults with neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, a condition where blood pressure drops sharply upon standing, causing dizziness or fainting. Researchers will measure blood pressure and symptoms while participants lie down and tilt upright, comparing normal breathing to using the rebreathe device.
