NCT ID NCT07510685
First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special closed-system bladder irrigation device could lower the chance of urinary tract infections after endoscopic urologic surgery. 240 adults having prostate or bladder tumor surgery were randomly assigned to either the closed-system device or standard irrigation. The device allows manual washouts without breaking the sterile seal, potentially reducing contamination. The main goal was to see if fewer patients developed bacteria in their urine.
