NCT ID NCT04477564

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This completed study examined stored DNA from 150 adults over 50 who had a history of venous thromboembolism (blood clots). Researchers looked for specific gene mutations linked to a condition called clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP). The goal was to see how common these mutations are in people with blood clots, which could help understand if CHIP plays a role in clot formation.
