Summary

This study looks at 665 people who had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung) and are at intermediate risk of another clot. Researchers will use a special 3D lung scan (V/Q SPECT/CT) to measure leftover blockages in lung blood vessels. The goal is to see if this scan can predict who will have another clot within two years, which could help doctors decide who needs long-term blood thinners.
