Can phone calls help turn the tide on childhood obesity?
NCT ID NCT05143697
Summary
This study is testing a practical counseling program to help reduce obesity in children. It involves about 6,600 children, aged 2 to 8, who are overweight. Doctors will talk with parents about healthy habits and refer families to trained coaches who will provide support and guidance over the phone for two years. The goal is to see if this accessible approach can effectively help lower children's body mass index (BMI) in a real-world healthcare setting.
