New hope for aggressive sarcoma: can extra chemo stop cancer spread?

Summary
This study tests whether adding 4 cycles of chemotherapy around the time of surgery can help prevent the spread of a rare, high-risk soft tissue sarcoma. About 600 adults with resectable tumors will be screened; those with a high-risk genetic signature will be randomly assigned to standard care (surgery plus possible radiation) or standard care plus chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if the extra chemo improves how long people live without the cancer spreading.
