Talking therapy curbs emotional eating in obesity study

Summary
This study tested whether a program combining cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing could help people with obesity reduce emotional eating and increase psychological resilience. 81 participants were randomly assigned to either the therapy program or a control group. The therapy group showed improvements in emotional eating and resilience compared to the control group. The findings suggest that psychological support can be a helpful part of obesity treatment.
