NCT ID NCT06564636
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing the CATALYSTEM hip system in 119 people who need a total hip replacement due to conditions like arthritis or hip damage. The goal is to see if the implant is safe and works well, focusing on how long it lasts without needing a second surgery. Participants will be followed for two years after surgery.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CATALYSTEM cementless primary hip system (a medical device)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could support approval of a new hip implant that may improve joint function and reduce the need for revision surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 119 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. As with any surgery, risks include infection, implant loosening, or complications.
