New phone program aims to help rural veterans manage heart failure

Summary

This study tests a 12-week telephone program where veterans with heart failure work with a nurse to solve problems related to their health. The goal is to improve self-care, reduce symptoms of heart failure, and ease depression and anxiety. Researchers will follow participants for 18 months to see if the benefits last.
