First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study aimed to create a communication tool to help doctors and patients talk about cancer that stops responding to treatment. Researchers interviewed 128 people, including patients with certain breast cancers, metastatic uveal melanoma, and parents of children with cancer, as well as healthcare professionals. The goal was to understand what patients need to hear and how to share complex information clearly, leading to a booklet to guide these difficult conversations.
