Brain training before amputation may stop phantom pain

Summary
This study tests whether a special brain rehabilitation program, done before and after a major amputation, can prevent or lessen phantom limb pain. About 50 people aged 13 and older who are having an amputation will use virtual reality daily while in the hospital. Researchers will measure pain levels and experiences to see if the training helps.
