First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study will follow 100 people with combat-related limb injuries to see if the way the injury happened (like the force and direction) can predict who will develop chronic pain. Researchers will measure pain levels and sensitivity at 3 and 6 months after the injury. The goal is to better understand and possibly prevent long-term pain after trauma.
